Scale and polish:

 

This involves scaling which carefully removes all the plaque and tartar build up. It clears away all of the debris from around the teeth and under your gums. The hygienist will then polish your teeth giving them a lovely silky feeling. After the cleaning is completed we will discuss aftercare with you such as flossing and demonstrate how to maintain your oral hygiene at home.

 

Basic periodontal treatments:

 

Scaling and root planing is careful cleaning of the root surfaces to remove plaque and calculus (tartar) from deep periodontal pockets and to smooth the tooth root to remove bacterial toxins.

 

Fissure sealants:

 

One method of preventing cavities from developing in the pits and fissures is to seal them off with a special varnish called a pit and fissure sealant.

 

 

 

Cancelling policy:

 

Cancelling policy: Due to the nature of the treatments we request notice of 24 hours (excluding weekends) prior to changes or cancellation of appointments. This is to allow us time to contact those patients who may be in urgent need of treatment and ensures that we can offer an efficient service to all of our patients at all times. It will be necessary to charge a late cancelation fee should this policy be overlooked.
